ABOUT CARLA GENTLE, MSMOB, CPRW (Certified Professional Resume Writer)
Hello! I am a creative Chicago-based virtual assistant focused on helping professionals and small business owners with their administrative tasks, content writing, editing, proofreading, and marketing (incl. branding & graphic design). I am also an expert event planner and manager, as well as a Certified Professional Resume Writer and have strategically written hundreds of compelling resumes and LinkedIn profiles for Fortune executives, doctors, high-ranked military officers, and more.
I launched Marketing the Write Way in 2010 after working 11 years in Corporate America handling advanced administrative projects for senior executives. While working in corporate America, I realized I had a gift that many professionals lacked, and that my eye and creative mind/thinking allowed me to elevate branding to a whole new level. I happen to love kids and feel the greatest gift you can ever give is love to a child. I currently sponsor a 14-yr.-old boy from Guatemala (since he was 5) through Compassion International (www.compassion.com), and during COVID school shutdowns in 2020 and 2021, I taught an on-line class to kids ages 10-15 yrs. old through Outschool (www.outschool.com). I have also done some substitute teaching in the state of Illinois and am a former Big Sister in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program (www.bbbs.org). In addition to my extensive work with children listed above, I am a past Board member (hospitality for three years) for the Community of Organizational Development in Chicagoland (CODIC).
